Advanced Diagnostic Center of Excellence (2 MRI & 1 CT Scan)
Procurement, installation, and commissioning of two modern Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines and one advanced Computed Tomography (CT) Scan machine at the Ebonyi State Diagnostics Center, Oferekpe. This flagship tertiary diagnostic installation eliminates medical tourism and provides precise, affordable clinical imaging for neurology, oncology, trauma, and maternal care.
Primary Healthcare Centers Comprehensive Revitalization & Upgrades
Revitalization of 25 model Primary Healthcare Centers and comprehensive renovation of 145 health facilities across all 13 LGAs. Interventions include modern metal sheet re-roofing, wall crack restoration, premium interior tiling, security fencing, installation of outpatient suites, renovated staff quarters, and patient sanitary facilities.
Healthcare Workforce Development & SBA Civil Service Absorption
Recruitment, intensive training, and statewide deployment of 328 Skilled Birth Attendants (SBAs) and adhoc health workers across BHCPF facilities. In a landmark demonstration of leadership and sustainability, His Excellency the Executive Governor approved the permanent absorption of 353 IMPACT-engaged health workers into the Ebonyi State Civil Service.
Sustainable Clean Water & Motorized Boreholes Initiative
Construction and operationalization of 80 motorized boreholes and 12 water harvesting systems across primary healthcare centers in all 13 LGAs. Providing reliable, pathogen-free water supply for labor delivery rooms, sterile surgical equipment washing, hand hygiene, and community infection prevention.
Primary Healthcare Solarization & Clean Energy Initiative
Installation of solar photovoltaic inverter systems and solar direct-drive (SDD) cold-chain vaccine refrigerators across health facilities, plus high-capacity solar systems for tertiary medical diagnostics. Ensures uninterrupted power supply for obstetric emergencies, neonatal incubators, night deliveries, and vaccine potency.
Outreach Mobility & Vaccine Last-Mile Distribution (40 Motorcycles)
Procurement and distribution of 40 rugged motorcycles and 2 project vehicles to strengthen last-mile vaccine distribution, cold chain security, supportive supervision, and mobile immunization outreach to hard-to-reach, riverine, and border communities in Ebonyi State.
Health Information Digitalization & NHMIS / DHIS-2 Strengthening
Procurement and direct distribution of 164 laptops with dedicated monthly internet connectivity data allowances to 164 supported PHCs. Over 351 Officers-in-Charge (OICs) and M&E personnel trained on DHIS-2, achieving 97.13% reporting completeness and 96.58% timeliness.
Maternal & Child Survival Program (IPT3, Obstetric Beds & MAMA Kits)
Procurement and distribution of heavy-duty obstetric delivery beds, 71,000 doses of Sulfadoxine-Pyrimethamine (SP), 17,500 diagnostic test kits, 14,000 maternal booklets, and 3,000 incentives (umbrellas) to mothers. IPT3 uptake surged from 75% to 89% (24,871 pregnant women) and 2-3 day PNC visits reached 90%.
Medical Waste Management & Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM)
Mainstreaming environmental and social safeguards: Provision of 500 colour-coded waste bins, waste weighing scales, Veronica handwashing buckets, installation of 164 Grievance Complaint Boxes across all supported PHCs, and safe incineration of clinical safety boxes and biohazard materials.
